Senior BMS Engineer - Data Centre

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior BMS Engineer with strong experience in data centres and mission-critical environments to join their design team.\n\nAbout the Role\n\nAs a Senior BMS Engineer, you will lead the design, consultancy, and delivery of building automation and power monitoring systems across complex data centre projects.\n\nYou will be responsible for:\n\n * Leading multidisciplinary workgroups including clients and key stakeholders\n\n * Delivering BMS/EPMS design and control strategies on major projects\n\n * Ensuring technical excellence across HVAC, electrical power, and automation systems\n\n * Supporting end-to-end project delivery from concept through construction and commissioning\n\n * Managing multiple concurrent mission-critical projects\n\nAbout You\n\nYou will have strong technical expertise and leadership experience within mission-critical environments, including:\n\n * Extensive experience in data centres, industrial, high-tech, or mission-critical sectors\n\n * Strong knowledge of:\n\n * Building Management Systems (BMS / BAS)\n\n * Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) & BCMS\n\n * PLC systems\n\n * HVAC and building control systems\n\n * Experience working across both Design & Build (D&B) and Design Bid Build (DBB) projects\n\n * Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Lead engineering design, R&D, and control strategy development\n\n * Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical solutions\n\n * Ensure project milestones are delivered on time\n\n * Manage internal teams, subcontractors, and external consultants\n\n * Provide technical leadership across large-scale data centre environments\n\n * Support system design, documentation, and commissioning activities\n\nWhat’s in it for you?\n\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge data centre projects within a highly collaborative engineering environment, with strong emphasis on both technical development and career progression.\n\nBenefits include:\n\n * Hybrid working model\n\n * Flexible working arrangements\n\n * Strong training, mentoring, and chartership support\n\n * Generous annual leave allowance\n\n * Pension scheme and travel benefits\n\n * Professional membership support\n\n * Social and wellbeing activities
