Senior Civil Engineer

Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, on a contract basis, outside IR35. Within this role, you will be expected to work on a hybrid basis from our client's office, located near London. The chosen applicant will have the opportunity to work on a variety of Data Centre projects, with a large focus on Drainage.\n\n-Competitive hourly pay of £40-£45 (depending on experience).\n\n-Hybrid working arrangements.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n-Manage and oversee a variety of Data Centre design projects, from initial stages through to design, with a focus on drainage.\n\n-Ensure that all design maintain compliance with current UK regulations and policies, standards, and client needs, focusing on risk analysis and sustainability criteria.\n\n-Collaborate with teams, varying in specialities, identifying and finding solutions for design concerns and challenges.\n\n-Create and review detailed drawings, reports, and specifications, allowing for continuous accuracy, quality, and consistency.\n\n-Provide continuous guidance for junior technicians and engineers, maintaining staff and project development, ensuring quality throughout project lifespans.\n\n-Build and maintain rapport with clients and stakeholders, allowing for coordination with tendering, project management, value engineering, and budgeting.\n\nRequirements: \n\n-Working towards, or at, a charted status, or a similar position.\n\n-Extensive experience as a Senior Civil Engineer, or a related role, with a large focus on creating and reviewing designs for Data Centre projects, ideally drainage.\n\n-Solid understanding of UK design regulations, codes, and standards, with experience of flood risk analysis, drainage, SuDS, and site layout.\n\n-Strong proficiency in design software tools, such as CAD, BIM workflows, and modelling tools, with more than adequate documentation and drawing skills.\n\n-Prior leadership experience within projects, with the ability to oversee the scope, resources, budget, and timelines.\n\n-Excellent communication and management skills, with a problem-solving mindset, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to guide and mentor others
