Senior Construction Project Manager - Data Center

Overview:
\n
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead complex data center and mission-critical construction initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing projects through the full lifecycle, from planning and design coordination to commissioning and operational turnover. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering high-value infrastructure projects while maintaining strict schedule, budget, quality, and reliability objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead project execution by establishing governance processes, project plans, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder alignment.
- Manage financial performance, including forecasting, cost controls, contingency planning, procurement strategy, and value engineering efforts.
- Direct commissioning activities, testing programs, operational readiness reviews, and project closeout processes.
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of critical equipment, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators, cooling infrastructure, and related technologies.
- Oversee compliance with industry standards and best practices related to mission-critical facilities and data center operations.
- Partner with engineering, construction, commissioning, and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Support safety initiatives, operational procedures, and risk management throughout all phases of construction.
- Lead and mentor project teams while promoting collaboration across internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with consultants, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.
- Present regular program updates to executive leadership, including project health, budget status, schedule performance, risks, and milestone achievements.

Required Experience
\n
- \n
- 10-15 years of project or construction management experience.
- Minimum 8 years supporting data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems
- Commissioning and startup activities
- Redundant critical infrastructure environments
- Critical path scheduling and project controls
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale data center projects on time and within budget.
- Experience with project management and construction management platforms such as:
- Primavera P6
- Microsoft Project
- Procore
- Cost management and forecasting systems
- Exceptional communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills.

Qualifications
\n

- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier concepts and mission-critical facility standards.
- Understanding of ANSI/TIA-942 and data center design principles.
- Knowledge of ASHRAE thermal and environmental guidelines.
- Experience managing multi-site deployments and phased infrastructure upgrades.
- Background supporting live production environments with minimal operational impact.
- PMP, CCM, or similar project management certifications.
- Commissioning and mission-critical infrastructure experience .
