The Opportunity
This is a senior technical leadership role with enterprise-level ownership of electrical, controls, and embedded software systems across a portfolio of mission-critical cooling platforms.
The Senior Director, Electrical & Controls Engineering will define platform architecture, lead New Product Introduction (NPI), ensure compliance and production readiness, and build a high-performing engineering organization capable of supporting rapid scale.
What You’ll Do
- Own the electrical and controls technology roadmap across multiple product platforms
- Lead NPI from concept through production release
- Define architectures for embedded controls, power electronics, MCCs, VFDs, and firmware
- Ensure NEC / UL / IEC compliance and cybersecurity standards
- Drive production readiness (DFx, FAT, EOL testing, commissioning)
- Lead FRACAS and reliability feedback loops into design
- Build, mentor, and scale a senior electrical & controls engineering team
- Partner cross-functionally with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Product, and Quality
- Support customer engagements related to BMS integration and sequences of operation
You:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (PhD )
- 12+ years in electrical/controls engineering within HVAC, industrial, or mission-critical environments
- 5+ years in senior technical leadership roles
- Deep expertise in power systems, embedded controls, firmware, and BMS integration
- Strong knowledge of NEC, UL/IEC standards, DFx, and cybersecurity
- Proven ability to scale products and teams in fast-paced manufacturing environments
Compensation
Competitive base salary ($200-210K), annual performance bonus (20%), full benefits, and relocation support.
