Job Description
The Senior Director of Infrastructure and Operations is a direct report to the CIO and is responsible and accountable for the totality of the global Infrastructure and operations landscape. This responsibility includes cloud, data center, network, voice, systems, end user experience, Helpdesk, NOC and SRE operations. This individual must have a technical background and as part of the IT Leadership team, will set the mission and roadmap for the I&O organization. The individual is also responsible for providing the right experience and excellent customer service working strongly with leadership across the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Creates and executes the strategy and roadmap for the I&O organization
- Ability to instill confidence in the business and demonstrate the value of IT.
- Develops, controls, and owns the I&O global budget
- Responsible for transition to the cloud, management of cloud spend and optimizing cloud solutions for the company
- Responsible for the lifecycle management of global infrastructure
- Build best in class ITSM practices to drive operational efficiencies
- Develops, monitors and delivers monthly metrics to execute on commitments
- Increases visibility of the technology landscape and its associated risk (and management of that risk)
- Supports the transformational activities of the team and the company’s product roadmap in a dynamic environment
- Builds an end user strategy that secures our assets and optimizes our spend
- Build and maintains relationships with technology leaders and business executives to develop a clear understanding of business needs.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic roadmap for the I&O organization
- Identify gaps, hire, develop, and retain a high performing and diverse team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate an InfraOps vision and plan that inspires and motivates staff and aligns to the IT and business strategy.
- Ability and experience presenting at the executive level.
- Extensive Data Center solutions and Management experience.
- Extensive cloud management experience with strong preference on AWS expertise
- IT budgeting and financial management.
- Strong vendor management and partner relation skills. Understand and negotiate contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic people plan that ensures the right people are in the right roles to be successful, engaged, and happy.
- Deep network and voice management expertise
- Deep systems and database management expertise
- Strong voice systems experience
- Deep ITSM expertise (prefer ITIL certification)
- Extensive experience leading a fragmented environment with global footprint.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation communication skills.
