Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading engineering manufacturer to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering bespoke electrical solutions for data centres, power and critical infrastructure projects.

You'll lead electrical design activities from concept through to manufacture and commissioning, working on complex, customer-driven projects while mentoring junior engineers and helping shape engineering standards.

Key responsibilities:
\n
- \n
- Lead the electrical design of bespoke LV power and control systems.
- Produce electrical schematics, SLDs, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and I/O schedules using SolidWorks Electrical.
- Ensure designs comply with BS7671 and relevant IEC standards.
- Collaborate with mechanical design, projects and manufacturing teams to deliver practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Support testing, commissioning, technical problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

We're looking for:
\n
- \n
- 5+ years' experience in electrical design within manufacturing, industrial or bespoke equipment.
- Strong knowledge of LV electrical systems, control panels and power distribution.
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor and provide technical leadership.

\n
\n
Desirable: Data centre or critical infrastructure experience, cable calculations, ATEX knowledge and Chartered Engineer status.
