This role gives you exposure to some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects in this fast-paced industry. They are currently engaged in multiple schemes with Colocation Providers, End Users and Enterprise clients across the UK and the EMEA region.\n\nA little more about the role…\n\nYou will:\n\nSupport the development of conceptual electrical distribution designs from EHV, HV, MV to Low Voltage, including high-voltage equipment, equipment, UPS systems, low-voltage switchgear, and power control/monitoring systems.\n\t\nAdvise clients on electrical systems and solutions aligned with their operational needs.\n\t\nLead the design of data centre electrical systems and equipment.\n\t\nProduce written design development notes outlining system options.\n\t\nPrepare technical specifications ensuring compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.\n\t\nCoordinate effectively with other design disciplines such as Architecture and Structures.\n\t\nProduce calculations and technical documentation for tender submissions.\n\t\nMonitor installation works to ensure compliance with design specifications, employer requirements, and safety standards.\n\t\nOperate confidently in a client-facing capacity, able to discuss and agree technical requirements.\n\t\nWork both independently and as part of my client’s global project team.\n\nYour Team\n\nYou’ll collaborate with like-minded professionals on challenging and high-profile projects.\n\nThe London Building Services team consists of over 100 mechanical, electrical, and public health engineers, including E&S and Smart Team specialists.\n\nThe team is committed to attracting, developing, and retaining top talent—placing ethics, professionalism, integrity, and respect at the heart of everything they do. They champion , support colleagues at all career stages, and value fresh perspectives.\n\nYou will be based in the Chancery Lane office, offering excellent transport links and a range of nearby amenities.\n\nWhat we will be looking for you to demonstrate…\n\nChartered status with CIBSE or IET (or working towards it), or equivalent experience.\n\t\nStrong technical knowledge of relevant UK & EU regulations and design guides.\n\t\nProficiency with relevant software packages, including Trimble (formerly Amtech).\n\t\nUnderstanding of ETAP for HV modelling (fault current, load flow, harmonics).\n\t\nKnowledge of the Neher-McGrath method for underground cable temperature and ampacity calculations.\n\t\nUnderstanding of Tier classifications defined by The Uptime Institute, TIA-942, and EN50600.\n\t\nAbility to work effectively within a team, and to lead, mentor, and direct others.\n\t\nFamiliarity with RevitMEP or similar 3D design tools for project coordination.\n\t\nWorking knowledge of AutoCAD for design direction and oversight.\n\nElectrical design skills required:\n\nLarge Power (11kV) Distribution Systems\n\t\nElectrical Building Load Assessments\n\t\nStandby and UPS\n\t\nFire/Voice Alarm and Security Systems\n\t\nData Centres and Financial Services Environments\n\t\nInternal and External Lighting Design\n\t\nLifts\n\t\nCombined Heat and Power (CHP) Plant
