I'm working with a specialist data center engineering consultancy that has spent decades designing mission-critical facilities for the largest hyperscale and colocation operators in the world. Their engineers are behind some of the most advanced data center campuses in North America. They're now growing their electrical team and want a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design on their next round of hyperscale projects.

This role is fully remote. You'll get the project quality of a top-tier consultancy without a commute or a move.
\n
\n
What you'll work on:
\n
- \n
- Multi-building hyperscale campuses, many with 100MW+ capacity and some running into the hundreds of megawatts
- AI and high-density compute facilities, which need new approaches to power distribution
- Greenfield campuses and fast-track expansions for household-name cloud providers
- Projects across the US and internationally, often repeat work for the same clients, so you'll see programs develop over several years

What you'll do:
\n
- \n
- Lead electrical design from concept through construction documents and construction administration
- Design medium and low voltage distribution, utility interconnects and substations, UPS systems, generators, switchgear and critical power architecture
- Carry out and review load calculations, short circuit, arc flash and coordination studies
- Develop redundancy strategies (N+1, 2N, distributed and block redundant) that meet uptime and reliability targets
- Coordinate with mechanical, controls and architectural teams and work directly with client stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work

What they're looking for:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of electrical design experience, ideally on data centers or other mission-critical facilities
- PE license , or the ability to get one
- Strong knowledge of the NEC, NFPA 70E and IEEE standards
- Hands-on experience with medium voltage and critical power systems
- Confidence working directly with clients and leading design packages
- Revit, ETAP or SKM experience is a plus
