Position Overview

\n

\n

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join the team in Nevada.

\n

This role will play a key part in supporting major electrical construction pursuits, preparing accurate and competitive estimates across complex commercial, industrial, mission-critical, and other large-scale projects.

\n

The Senior Estimator will work closely with project management, engineering, vendors, subcontractors, and leadership to review project scope, develop detailed estimates, analyse costs, and support successful project bids.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical estimator looking to join a highly established contractor with a significant project pipeline and long-term growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

\n

  • Prepare detailed electrical estimates for large-scale construction projects.
  • \n

  • Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope.
  • \n

  • Perform detailed electrical quantity take-offs covering power distribution, lighting, low-voltage, and related systems.
  • \n

  • Develop accurate labour, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
  • \n

  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • \n

  • Identify scope gaps, risks, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • \n

  • Participate in bid reviews, value engineering, and preconstruction meetings.
  • \n

  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and leadership throughout the estimating process.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, assumptions, and bid clarifications.
  • \n

  • Support strategic bid development and major project pursuits.
  • \n

Qualifications

\n

    \n
  • 5+ years of electrical estimating experience within the construction industry.
  • \n

  • Experience working for an electrical contractor or specialist MEP contractor.
  • \n

  • Strong experience estimating commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or similarly complex projects.
  • \n

  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Accubid, Accubid Anywhere, ConEst, or similar platforms.
  • \n

  • Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
  • \n

  • Experience performing detailed electrical quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
  • \n

  • Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • \n

  • Experience working collaboratively with project management, engineering, and preconstruction teams.
  • \n

  • Experience with large-scale electrical construction projects is highly desirable.
  • \n
