Due to sustained project wins and an expanding client base, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join our team in Bracknell.
Role Overview
The Senior Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing competitive and accurate tenders for electrical building services projects. You will work closely with the pre-construction team, engineers, supply chain, and senior management to ensure tender submissions are compliant, commercially viable, and aligned with company strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the electrical estimating function for tenders ranging from £250k–£10m+.

Interpret drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and client requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
*
Carry out detailed take-offs and produce fully costed electrical tender submissions.
*
Manage supplier and subcontractor enquiries, including analysis, comparison, and selection.
*
Prepare technical and commercial clarifications for tender submissions.
*
Attend tender review meetings, client presentations, and site visits as required.
*
Work collaboratively with mechanical estimators, design teams, and project managers to ensure holistic M&E solutions.
*
Identify value engineering opportunities and propose alternative solutions where beneficial.
*
Ensure all estimates align with current market conditions, supplier pricing, and labour rates.
*
Handover successful tenders to the project delivery team with complete documentation.
Skills & Experience Required
*
Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Estimator within an M&E contracting environment.
*
Strong technical understanding of electrical building services (LV distribution, lighting, fire alarms, containment, power, renewables, etc.).
*
Proven background in pricing commercial, residential, industrial, or data centre projects.
*
Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
*
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to analyse tender risks.
*
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
*
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced tendering environment.
*
Strong negotiation skills and supply chain knowledge.
*
Relevant electrical or M&E qualifications (NVQ, HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent).
