As a key member of the engineering team, you will help ensure life safety systems are reliable, code-compliant, and seamlessly integrated with broader building systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engage directly with clients and regulatory authorities, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle—from concept development through commissioning and validation.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the development of fire and life safety design strategies, project scopes, technical requirements, and system specifications.

  • Direct the planning, design, and integration of fire protection and life safety systems across complex facilities and infrastructure projects.

  • Provide technical oversight throughout all project phases, including concept development, detailed design, construction support, commissioning, and validation.

  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and technology teams to ensure seamless system coordination and integration.

  • Support project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, and risk assessment.

  • Participate in system testing, startup activities, commissioning efforts, and performance verification.

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of engineering standards, design practices, and quality initiatives.

  • Mentor and support junior engineers by providing technical guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.

  • Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience in fire and life safety engineering

  • Strong experience with fire and life safety systems, including:

    • Fire alarm and signaling systems

    • Emergency communication systems (EVACS/ECS)

    • Air-sampling smoke detection (e.g., VESDA)

    • In-building public safety communication systems (IB-PSC/ERRC)

    • Toxic gas detection and monitoring systems

  • Experience working on large, technically complex or mission-critical facilities

  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NEC, IBC, IFC, Life Safety Code)

  • Ability to interpret regulations and apply them to real-world design challenges

  • Experience with multidisciplinary system coordination and integration

Why Join the Team

  • Contribute to high-impact projects supporting some of the world's most critical and innovative industries.

  • Work alongside talented engineering professionals in a collaborative, knowledge-driven environment.
