Senior HVAC Design Technician – Hybrid

Location: Tempe, AZ 85282 (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week)
Employment Type: Full-Time | W-2

Overview

An engineering team is seeking a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment. This role focuses on the design and development of complex industrial HVAC and process exhaust systems for advanced facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial mechanical systems
• Develop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction details
• Execute design work across planning, concept, and detailed phases
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
• Apply mechanical codes and standards to ensure design accuracy and quality

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience
• 4+ years of Revit design experience
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical design experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes (IMC )
• Ability to independently complete design packages with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Experience in complex industrial environments (e.g., semiconductor, cleanroom, data center, advanced manufacturing)
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
• Technical or Associate’s degree in a related field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced problem-solving, planning, and analytical skills

Additional Details

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite per week
• Up to 10% travel may be required
