Role Overview
The Senior HVAC Service Technician handles troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of advanced commercial HVAC systems. The role demands solid technical ability, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work efficiently in fast-paced and challenging environments.

Core Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis, repair, replacement, and maintenance of commercial HVAC systems (chillers, air handlers, rooftop units, pumps, motors, controls, etc.)
- Execute preventive maintenance inspections and document all findings and actions in a service management system
- Recommend repair vs. replacement options, providing clear justification and cost implications to customers
- Serve as direct point of contact with customers during service calls — explain issues, timelines, and solutions in plain
- Model and enforce strict safety protocols; lead by example in safety practices on job sites
- Collaborate with dispatch, purchasing/procurement, and operations to ensure efficient job flow
- Mentor, support, and guide junior technicians, sharing technical knowledge and best practices
- Represent the brand on-site: maintain a professional demeanor, respond to complaints or escalations, and build client trust
- Accurately track parts usage, labor hours, and job progress; update work orders and documentation
- Monitor recurring failures or field patterns; suggest improvements in parts inventory, processes, or field standards
- Respond to emergency calls or after-hours service as needed
Required Background
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship as sponsorship is not available for this position
- EPA 608 Certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Texas TDLR Registration required or ability to obtain upon hire
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, VAVs, pumps, and controls
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to function in outdoor environments: heat, cold, humidity, rain, etc.
- Comfortable working in moderate to loud noise environments (mechanical/construction settings)
- Flexibility to respond to emergencies or extended hours as needed
- Visual acuity: close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Commercial HVAC service background required; residential and light commercial experience can be blended in
- Building automation systems (BAS) or controls experience a plus
- Military HVAC or mechanical maintenance background will be considered
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
