Senior Legal Counsel - Data Centres

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Senior Legal Counsel to join a dynamic, international data center developer and operator. This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with 5–8 years’ experience to play a key role in supporting the company’s growth globally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including procurement, supplier, and customer contracts.
  • Support land acquisition, development, leasing, and construction projects across EMEA, working closely with development, commercial, and technical teams.
  • Advise on UK corporate governance, entity management, and compliance requirements.
  • Support cross-border structuring and joint venture activity as required.
  • Monitor and advise on applicable laws and regulations, including those relating to data center development, construction, environmental impact, and energy.
  • Assist with dispute resolution and claims management, liaising with external counsel when necessary.
  • Partner with teams across operations, finance, and business development to ensure legal input is embedded early in key initiatives.
  • Help develop legal templates, playbooks, and workflows to enhance efficiency and consistency across the business.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with 5–8 years’ PQE.
  • Strong grounding in commercial and/or real estate law, ideally with exposure to construction, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Experience gained in a top-tier law firm and/or in-house within a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.
