Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Salary & Benefits: Salary up to £75,000 DOE Hybrid working, typically 2-3 days from the London office Strong career progression opportunities Varied project portfolio across multiple sectors Opportunity to work on projects across the UK and Europe Supportive multidisciplinary environment Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job Overview: As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take responsibility for delivering mechanical design projects from initial concept through to completion. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with clients, internal teams and other disciplines to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. The role will suit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer who is confident working independently, managing their own workload and taking the lead on small to medium-sized projects. You will also have the opportunity to support and guide junior engineers while acting as a key point of contact for clients. The role will include: Leading the mechanical design and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously Taking responsibility for small to medium-sized projects from inception through to completion Developing and maintaining strong client relationships Attending and leading client meetings and project discussions Producing and reviewing mechanical design calculations, specifications and drawings Coordinating mechanical designs with electrical, structural and other engineering disciplines Supporting and overseeing junior engineers working across projects Managing competing deadlines and priorities across multiple projects Liaising with clients, contractors and other project stakeholders Attending site visits and project meetings where required Ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements Supporting the continued development of internal design standards and processes Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job Requirements: 5+ years' experience within mechanical building services design Previous consultancy experience is preferred Strong mechanical design and engineering knowledge Proven experience managing multiple projects at the same time Confident dealing directly with clients and leading meetings Experience taking ownership of projects with limited supervision Ability to manage and support junior engineers Strong communication and organisational skills Proficient Revit experience is essential Relevant engineering qualification Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary environment Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
