A leading UK M&E contractor, delivering complex projects across the Commercial, Healthcare, Residential and Data Centre sectors, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join its team on a large-scale data centre project in East London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join a business that genuinely promotes internal progression. You’ll gain exposure to major mission-critical data centre projects with a clear pathway toward Mechanical Project Management.
The Role
In this position, you will:
- Support the Project Manager in delivering the full mechanical package on a major data centre project
- Take ownership of mechanical coordination, design reviews, procurement, and site delivery
- Liaise closely with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure programme and technical requirements are achieved
- Oversee installation quality, testing, commissioning, and final project handover
- Work closely with the wider MEP delivery team to ensure fully integrated project delivery
Experience Required
- Proven experience working as a Mechanical Project Engineer within a Building Services or M&E contracting environment
- Experience delivering mechanical packages on large commercial or data centre projects
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, plant rooms, pipework, and mechanical services
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and coordinate across disciplines
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
Package
- Salary £65,000 – £85,000 (depending on experience)
