Our client is a well-established, rapidly growing mechanical and process construction contractor with a strong presence in Texas. The company specializes in turnkey HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems for large-scale commercial, mission-critical, healthcare, higher education, and data center projects.

With advanced in-house fabrication capabilities, BIM/VDC integration, and a strong safety culture, this contractor delivers complex mechanical scopes on some of the most high-profile projects in the region. The organization is known for collaborative project delivery, technical expertise, and long-term client relationships.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead major mechanical and plumbing construction projects in the Midlothian, TX market. This role is ideal for a highly experienced leader who has successfully managed $100M+ mechanical scopes and has a strong background in data center or mission-critical facilities.

This is a senior-level, on-site leadership role with full ownership of project execution, financial performance, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale mechanical & plumbing projects (typically $80M–$100M+ mechanical scope).

  • Oversee all project phases: preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, subcontractor management, cost control, risk mitigation, and close-out.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, GCs, engineers, and internal teams.

  • Drive financial performance, including forecasting, change management, and margin protection.

  • Coordinate closely with VDC/BIM, fabrication, and field operations teams.

  • Maintain strict safety standards and promote a proactive safety culture.

  • Mentor and develop project management staff.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.

  • Proven success managing $100M+ mechanical and plumbing scopes for large commercial or mission-critical projects.

  • Data center experience strongly .

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plumbing systems, and large-scale mechanical coordination.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and contract management skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field but not required.

Compensation

  • $150,000 – $200,000+ total compensation, depending on experience.

  • Performance-based incentives/bonuses.
