Job Description
On a large data centre build, the programme is the argument everyone has. A major Frankfurt project is appointing a Senior MEP Project Planner to own that programme - to build it properly, defend it with evidence, and see the risk before it lands.
\n
About the opportunity
\n
You will develop, maintain and control the project programme across mechanical, electrical and associated building services packages, from pre-construction through installation, testing, commissioning and handover. Working with project management, engineering, construction, commercial and subcontractor teams, you will make sure activities are sequenced honestly, tracked accurately and delivered against milestones that matter.
\n
This is a senior planning seat with real influence over programme development and project controls on a technically complex, high-value data centre project.
\n
What you will be doing
\n
- \n
- Building and maintaining detailed MEP and construction programmes in Primavera P6
- Establishing realistic sequences, durations, dependencies, milestones and programme logic
- Developing baselines and resource-loaded programmes, and keeping updates true to site reality
- Monitoring progress against baseline, validating subcontractor progress data and producing weekly and monthly updates
- Identifying and continuously tracking critical path activities and float
- Assessing programme impact of delays, changes and unforeseen events, and building recovery plans
- Planning MEP installation sequences and coordinating with structural, architectural and builders' work
- Integrating design approval, procurement and long-lead equipment milestones into the master programme
- Reviewing and challenging subcontractor programmes where dates or sequencing are unrealistic
- Producing planning dashboards, progress summaries and programme reports for leadership and client meetings
- Supporting forecasting, cost-to-complete and Earned Value Management analysis
- Carrying out delay analysis and supporting commercial teams on extension of time matters
- Integrating testing, commissioning, energisation and handover activities into the overall programme
