The DNA Group is seeking a Technical Specialist (Journeyman) – Infrastructure & AV Systems to support our client. In this role, you will provide technical subject matter expertise in the planning, design, integration, and deployment of audiovisual (AV) and infrastructure systems across the client’s facilities. You will support large-scale implementations by delivering hands-on technical leadership, validating system designs, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards. This is a technical SME role and not a help desk or project management-focused position.
Overview Requirements:
• Support lifecycle management, replacement, and upgrades of network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and related hardware
• Design, analyze, and implement secure network infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain logical and physical network diagrams, rack elevations, and cabling documentation
• Maintain network configurations, SOPs, disaster recovery plans, and change records
• Monitor network performance, identify vulnerabilities, and implement corrective actions
• Troubleshoot complex network and infrastructure issues affecting mission-critical operations
• Conduct root-cause analysis and restore services quickly while documenting findings
• Support and manage data center environments hosting critical 911 applications
• Ensure network redundancy, resiliency, and compliance with public safety operational requirements
• Implement and maintain VPNs, encryption, intrusion detection, and prevention systems
• Collaborate with technical teams to support infrastructure integration and modernization initiatives
• Apply network security best practices and mitigate infrastructure vulnerabilities
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience
• Advanced experience with routers, switches, firewalls, servers, and enterprise networking technologies
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure design and analysis
• Experience with network security, VPNs, encryption, intrusion detection, and penetration testing
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause analysis skills
• Experience supporting mission-critical or high-availability environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain detailed technical documentation and network diagrams
• Strong project management and organizational skills

• Supporting and Designing Industry-Specific Technologies Requiring Systems or Network Integration: 16 years (Required)
