Job Description:
We Are Seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, security, and ongoing support of complex enterprise network infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. This role will be responsible for managing Cisco and Palo Alto network environments, improving network resiliency and performance, supporting infrastructure modernization initiatives, and providing technical leadership across network operations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with routing, switching, firewalls, network security, and large-scale enterprise network environments while delivering exceptional customer service and operational support.
Responsibilities:
· Design, implement, and manage enterprise network infrastructure utilizing Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, and Palo Alto Networks technologies.
· Support network modernization initiatives, including firewall deployments, routing optimization, resiliency improvements, and security enhancements.
· Configure and manage routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to improve network performance and failover capabilities.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues while ensuring high availability and reliability of critical systems.
· Perform network configuration management, upgrades, patching, and maintenance activities.
· Monitor network performance and conduct proactive health assessments to identify and mitigate risks.
· Administer Palo Alto Next- Firewalls and Panorama management platforms.
· Implement and support VPN technologies, IPsec tunnels, NAT configurations, and Quality of Service (QoS) policies.
· Collaborate with internal teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to support network-related projects and services.
· Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to network engineers and support personnel.
· Conduct network capacity planning, performance analysis, and scalability assessments.
· Utilize network monitoring and management tools to analyze traffic patterns, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
· Ensure adherence to network security best practices and recommend enhancements to strengthen infrastructure security.
· Coordinate and support copper and fiber cabling installations, troubleshooting efforts, and infrastructure deployments.
· Support access control systems, CCTV technologies, and related infrastructure components as required.
· Travel to field locations to perform onsite support, equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
· Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to support critical operational environments.
· Maintain detailed network architecture documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
· Assist with budget planning, infrastructure lifecycle management, and capital improvement initiatives.
· Deliver exceptional customer service while effectively communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
· Minimum 5 years of recent experience designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise network environments.
· Extensive experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco IOS and Cisco Nexus network devices.
· Extensive experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto Networks Next- Firewalls and Panorama.
· Strong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
· Experience implementing and supporting VPN technologies, IPsec tunnels, NAT, and network security architectures.
· Experience implementing and managing Quality of Service (QoS) solutions.
· Experience coordinating copper and fiber cabling installations and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
· Experience supporting highly available 24x7 operational environments.
· Prior experience supervising, mentoring, or directing technical teams.
· Experience using enterprise monitoring and management tools such as Splunk, SolarWinds Orion, ServiceNow, and Jira.
· Strong understanding of network security principles, vulnerability mitigation, and infrastructure hardening practices.
· Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in high-pressure environments.
· Ability to travel to customer and field locations as required.
Certifications:
· CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Data Center, or equivalent Cisco certification.
· Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or equivalent Palo Alto certification.
· Additional advanced networking, security, or infrastructure certifications are highly desirable.
