Hybrid Every other week onsite/5 days in either Durham, NC, Westlake, TX or Merrimack, NH

The Network Core and Site Engineering team is responsible for architecture, engineering, deployment, and support of the organization’s global WAN and LAN, including data center fabrics, campus networks, and interconnects. This role advances stable and automated EVPN-VXLAN environments, supports infrastructure projects and upgrades, and sustains secure network operations.

Rate: $61.00 to $71.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Design, engineer, document, and implement core routing and switching for data centers and co-locations.
  • Engineer and operate EVPN-VXLAN overlay and underlay environments across multiple platforms.
  • Support infrastructure projects including new implementations and hardware upgrades.
  • Perform code certification and implement vendor code upgrades and hot fixes.
  • Maintain network security through tactical change management.
  • Provide operational support and participate in on-call rotation for impacting issues.
  • Document complex technologies and topologies using Visio.
  • Collaborate with enterprise infrastructure teams to deliver stable and automated network services.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven experience with EVPN-VXLAN configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with overlay technologies including VXLAN and EVPN-BGP.
  • Expert knowledge configuring and supporting HPE and Cisco networking platforms.
  • Strong network engineering and troubleshooting skills across enterprise environments.
  • Routing protocols experience: BGP, OSPF, VRF.
  • Switched protocols experience: PVST, RPVST, HSRP/VRRP.
  • Monitoring protocols experience: SNMP, Syslog, Telemetry.
  • Data center network design and support experience.
  • Knowledge of common network services such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SSH.
  • Infrastructure automation experience with scripting such as bash, Python, or Ansible and interacting with REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with network observability and monitoring systems.
  • Strong communication, time management, tactical planning, and technical writing skills.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Network Engineering, or 8+ years of related experience.
  • Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE certification ().
