Senior Network Engineer

As a Senior Network Engineer at our financial firm, you will be responsible for designing, supporting, and securing a high-performance local area network that underpins a mission-critical trading environment. This role focuses on uptime, low-latency connectivity, and secure access across offices, data centers, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, operate, and support a large-scale LAN optimized for trading and real-time data
• Maintain and tune Palo Alto firewalls, security policies, and threat prevention features
• Manage site-to-site and remote-access VPN connectivity
• Oversee multiple ISP circuits, failover, and routing for maximum availability
• Support connectivity to market data providers and external trading platforms
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot latency or outages, and lead incident response
• Partner with infrastructure, security, and trading teams to meet performance and compliance requirements

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
• Deep hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls and VPN technologies
• Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN design, routing, switching, and redundancy
• Experience supporting low-latency, high-availability trading environments
• Financial services or regulated-industry experience
