LOCATION: Oklahoma City, OK (Onsite)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Network & Systems Engineer participates in the delivery, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of system and network solutions that support continuous business operations. This role is involved across the full lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design to implementation and operational support—ensuring high availability, performance, and security of server and network infrastructure.

The engineer is responsible for monitoring, installing, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and securing server and network environments. This position is part of an infrastructure engineering team delivering always-available solutions. Due to the organization’s 24x7 operational footprint, this role includes participation in on-call support and scheduled off-hours maintenance as required.

This is an in-house, onsite position based in Oklahoma City.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participate in the design, implementation, and support of LAN, WLAN, and WAN environments

• Install, configure, and maintain network switches and LAN devices, including VLAN routing and switching

• Configure, install, and support servers and SAN infrastructure

• Implement and maintain VMware environments

• Implement and maintain secure remote access solutions in virtualized environments

• Configure and support firewall platforms and secure remote access appliances

• Design and maintain site-to-site and client-server VPN solutions

• Support Microsoft 365 and cloud infrastructure platforms, including AWS EC2

• Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for technical updates, replacements, and support

• Monitor network performance, availability, and integrity

• Maintain data center operational integrity, including preventative maintenance and break/fix support

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues across cloud and on-prem infrastructure

• Automate routine tasks and monitor effectiveness

• Create, test, and maintain security controls including authentication and disaster recovery processes

• Maintain and update technical documentation

• Mentor team members on technical topics and best practices

• Communicate with users as needed regarding system availability and issues

• Support end-user devices including laptops, desktops, hardware, and software

• Perform initial setup and configuration of end-user equipment prior to service desk handoff

• Recommend improvements to network performance, scalability, and capacity

• Administer and support phone systems

• Monitor and maintain facility security systems including cameras and access control systems

• Perform physical security checks of facilities

• Interact with vendors to procure hardware, software, and licensing

• Partner with accounting to review and approve IT-related invoices

• Respond to and resolve issues identified by monitoring or operations teams

• Monitor and maintain backup power systems including UPS and generator readiness

• Travel to U.S. office locations as required (TX, OK, DC)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5–6 years of experience in IT infrastructure, security, and physical security

• Experience managing vendor relationships

• Strong hands-on experience implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining servers, networks, firewalls, and workstations

• Proficiency with Windows Server environments and modern Windows desktop operating systems

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and project-focused

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Customer-service mindset with a proactive and resourceful approach

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities

• Ability to demonstrate skills in technology, automation, communication, innovation, and service design

• Ability to pass a 10-year background check and drug screening

EDUCATION:

• Associate’s degree in a technology-related field or 3–4 years of equivalent training and experience
