Senior Planner\n\nManchester\n\nUp to £85,000 + Car/Allowance + Pension + Healthcare\n\nEstablished Main Contractor\n\nAre you a Senior Planner ready to step into a high-impact role in the North West? A leading construction business is looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join their Manchester office and take the reins on pre-construction planning for major logistics, data centre, and infrastructure projects.\n\nThis is a role with real influence. You’ll lead the development of tender programmes, contribute to winning work, and support live schemes across the region.

You’ll work closely with a Planning Lead who values collaboration, autonomy and long-term thinking – no micromanagement here. The Northern team turns over £150m+, with projects typically ranging from £10m to over £100m.\n\nIndustrial sector experience is a big plus, and NEC familiarity would be great too – but neither is essential. What matters most is your ability to build robust programmes, communicate clearly with the bid and delivery teams, and keep your finger on the pulse of multiple complex schemes.\n\nIn this Senior Planner role, you'll:\n\nLead on tender and pre-construction planning\n\nSupport the delivery team with programme updates as projects go live\n\nWork primarily with JCT contracts, with some exposure to NEC\n\nShape project methodology and sequencing from day one\n\nYou’ll join a planning team that blends real construction insight with modern, forward-thinking methods.

The wider business has over 300 staff and a turnover of £500m+, with a strong order book and a culture of steady, smart growth.\n\nThe set-up? Office-based in Manchester four days a week, with one day WFH or on site.
