Senior Planner (remote)

Are you a proactive Senior Planner with strong first‑principles planning expertise coupled with hands‑on delivery experience?

Our client is seeking a dynamic, self‑starting planner to lead the full project lifecycle — from design through to handover — across multiple concurrent projects simultaneously.

As Senior Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving project success by developing robust programmes and ensuring seamless coordination across all stakeholders.

You’ll work remotely, attending occasional site visits in Derby and Bristol.

Key Responsibilities

Build detailed first‑principles project programmes and create the overall master programme.

Evaluate, integrate, and challenge subcontractor programmes to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and alignment.

Support delivery teams with hands‑on construction planning insights and practical sequencing advice.

Manage planning across multiple live projects simultaneously.

Work from early design phases through to project completion and handover.

Provide clear, confident communication to all levels of stakeholders.

Demonstrate strong stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and effective decision‑making.

About You

Experienced in first‑principles planning of major projects

Civil engineering qualification

Previous hands‑on construction delivery experience for a tier one contractor is essential.

Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of driving planning excellence across a project team.

A strong communicator with proven stakeholder engagement skills.

A self‑starter who can work autonomously while managing several programmes concurrently.

Proficient in the use of P6 on industrial type projects like nuclear, power stations, energy to waste plants, data centres etc

Willing to complete a DBS check
