WHAT DOES A PRODUCT LINE MANAGER DO?

The Product Line Manager owns the strategic and commercial success of HSIO's interconnect product portfolio across its full lifecycle. This role is responsible for defining product strategy, driving roadmap execution, and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver competitive, profitable, and market-relevant solutions. The Product Line Manager operates at the intersection of market insight, product strategy, engineering execution, operations, and sales enablement, with accountability for business results.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for assigned product lines, including product roadmaps, market positioning, and go-to-market strategy.
  • Translate market and customer requirements into clear product definitions and development priorities.
  • Drive new business development across new markets and customers, while expanding share within Amphenol's existing customer base.
  • Partner with global sales, field application engineering, and marketing teams to enable design wins through tools, training, and promotional initiatives.
  • Monitor industry applications, technology trends, and customer roadmaps to inform long-term product planning.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and products, develop pricing strategies, and implement actions to outperform competitors.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure product scalability, customization, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a trusted partner to customers by understanding their technology roadmaps and positioning HSIO solutions as high-value, differentiated offerings.
  • Own forecasting, revenue planning, capital investment evaluation, and ROI analysis for assigned product lines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering; MBA or MS .
  • 10+ years of experience in product management and business development, preferably within electronics or related industries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full product lifecycle, from strategic definition through launch and growth.
  • Proven high-potential performer with strong ambition for career growth.
  • Highly organized and effective in a matrixed, global environment with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Strong technical foundation combined with sound business judgment.
  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across functions and organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, from the factory floor to executive leadership.
  • Comfortable balancing attention to detail with focus on strategic objectives.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required (approximately 4050%).
