We are hiring a Senior Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler to support on-site efforts in Ft. Wayne, IN
Role Summary
Stelic is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Controls Engineer - Scheduler to lead schedule development and execution on a mission-critical data center project in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for professionals who thrive on precision, field coordination, and direct ownership of the schedule.
Why This Role Stands Out
You’ll take ownership of a complex Primavera P6 schedule with over 2,500 activities, supporting one of the nation’s most technical and time-sensitive builds. This is a field-facing role where you’ll work directly with superintendents, engineers, and executives, earning recognition through results, not time at a desk. You won’t be micromanaged, but you will be accountable. If you’ve worked in environments where the schedule is disconnected from the work or treated more as a formality than a tool, this will be different. Here, the schedule is a driver of action and decision-making, not just a report.
What We Offer
- $130K–$160K base salary + 5–10% annual bonus potential
- Relocation and demobilization support funding
- Direct line to leadership and a path to lead future data center programs
What You’ll Do
- Build/manage fully logic-tied Primavera P6 baseline schedule, 2,500+ activities using CPM best practice
- Conduct weekly schedule updates through site walks and trade coordination
- Use P6 layouts to:
- Track critical path and near-critical risks
- Filter by trade, zone, or timeframe
- Generate field-friendly, leadership-ready reports
- Maintain resource-loaded schedules for cost and earned value tracking
- Perform Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using baseline and live schedule data
- Deliver monthly schedule package: .xer files, critical path snapshot, 6-week lookaheads & written narrative
What You Bring
- 5+ years in commercial construction scheduling or project controls
- Expert-level skills in Primavera P6 and Excel
- You know how a job actually gets built, and how to reflect that in logic
- Strong communication: You can brief superintendents or a VP with equal clarity
- Experience mentoring junior team members is a plus, but not required
Final Word
This isn’t a back-office scheduling role. You’re embedded with the team, solving real problems in real time. If you want to lead from the field, shape outcomes & be part of a tight, capable project controls group, this is your role.
