Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer (Remote - EU Travel)\nMUST HOLD FULL RIGHT TO WORK IN EUROPE \nPermanent\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer to work primarily within the Data Centre sector on large-scale European projects. The successful candidate will possess a thorough grasp of electrical design principles and engineering techniques, demonstrating confidence in working both independently and in collaboration with the wider team.\nYou will ensure the successful completion of all designs, guaranteeing they meet construction timelines and exacting technical requirements from concept stage through to handover.\n\nCandidate Profile\nThis senior technical role offers a remote work arrangement based in Germany, with essential travel throughout the European Union to meet project and site requirements.\n\nQualifications:\n\nHonours Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Chartered Engineer status is an advantage but not essential.\n10+ years of experience operating as a Senior Engineer.\nSector Expertise: Must have extensive electrical building services design experience within Data Centre engineering projects.\nTechnical Knowledge:\n\nIn-depth knowledge of electrical design and engineering techniques.\nDeep knowledge of relevant standards including ETCI, CIBSE, IEC, BS, IS, and EN Standards.\nWorking knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT is highly desirable.\nProject Leadership:\n\nConfident in leading projects autonomously from the concept stage through to completion.\nExcellent communication skills, enabling effective liaison with clients, architects, and project managers.\nGeneral Skills: Excellent Microsoft Office skills.\nKey Day-to-Day Activities\n\nDesign Leadership: Lead the Electrical Services design for a diverse range of critical infrastructure projects.\nTechnical Deliverables: Manage the specification and design of Electrical Building Services systems.
Produce detailed schematics and fully detailed tender packages.\nSite and Quality Oversight: Monitor installation and quality on site until project completion. Attend necessary site visits.\nStandards & Development: Develop and maintain the electrical design standards within the organisation. Mentor junior engineering staff.\nProject Management: Confidently take the lead on projects with minimal input from the management team.
Develop project scope in collaboration with the design team and client.\nClient Reports: Produce accurate budgets and comprehensive reports for clients.\nTendering: Undertake detailed tender report analysis and recommendations.\nTools: Confidently utilise software packages including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Dialux, Amtech, and REVIT.\n\nEligo Recruitment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
