About Us
Our client is a leading specialist in delivering high-performance data centre solutions across Europe. We design, build, and manage critical infrastructure projects for some of the most demanding clients in the industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, ensuring operational excellence across complex data centre builds.
The Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the full project lifecycle – from design development through to commissioning and handover – ensuring all civils, MEP, and IT infrastructure elements are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Programme & Delivery Leadership
- Own project delivery timelines and oversee all works (civils, MEP, IT infrastructure).
- Coordinate all phases of design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
Integration of Complex MEP Systems
- Manage early coordination between design and construction teams.
- Oversee procurement and installation of UPS, generators, HVAC, fire suppression, and BMS systems.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary liaison between client, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Translate technical requirements (Tier III/Tier IV, Uptime Institute standards) into actionable delivery plans.
Risk, Compliance & Change Control
- Identify and mitigate risks, including long-lead procurement items.
- Manage scope changes through formal processes to protect timelines and budgets.
- Ensure full compliance with CDM, fire safety, and environmental regulations.
Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor commercial performance with QS/commercial teams.
- Manage contingency funds and drive value engineering without compromising resilience.
What You’ll Do
- Define scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Lead risk management, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide transparent communication and reporting on progress, risks, and issues.
- Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, ensuring alignment with goals.
About You
- Proven experience managing large-scale, M&E-heavy projects (data centres ).
- Strong knowledge of Tier III/Tier IV standards and critical infrastructure systems.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and cost control.
- Ability to identify risks and drive solutions in fast-paced environments.
