Senior Project Manager – Mission Critical
Aurora, Colorado
$125,000 – $165,000 annually
Full-Time | On-site | Eligible for 0–15% annual incentive based on performance
Overview

As a Senior Project Manager within the Mission Critical division, you’ll lead complex mechanical construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This position demands a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced, technically challenging environments and can balance field operations with strategic project oversight.
Your leadership will shape the success of multiple high-impact projects while influencing overall company performance. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage budgets and contracts, ensure compliance and safety, and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Position Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of assigned mechanical construction projects. This includes oversight of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, documentation, and cost control to ensure timely and profitable completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise project teams in daily operations to achieve safety, quality, and financial goals.
- Administer all project documentation, contracts, and change orders to protect company and client interests.
- Develop, review, and maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment in alignment with project milestones.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor and vendor agreements.
- Coordinate required permits, licenses, and compliance documentation.
- Review and approve project billings, invoices, and financial reports.
- Manage project forecasts and cost control metrics to maintain profitability.
- Oversee staffing plans, field productivity, and labor resources.
- Conduct regular progress meetings with clients, project teams, and executives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery practices.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master’s ).
- Experience: 10–15+ years in mechanical construction project management, including experience managing large, complex projects ($2M+).
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Background in manufacturing or electrical construction .
- Mission critical or data center project experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams, negotiate contracts, and manage budgets effectively.
- Advanced knowledge of scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Compensation: $125,000–$165,000 base salary + performance incentive (up to 15%)
