Senior Project Manager Opportunity - Leading Contractor - Glasgow City Centre

MK Search are working with a leading construction contractor who have a strong reputation in the commercial, data centre, retail and fit out sectors who are looking for a Senior Project Manager for their Glasgow business unit.

You will be involved in a variety of projects in and around the Glasgow area delivering full M&E and CSA on projects valued between £10k and £1m generally. The company in question have a very low turnover of staff due to the collaborative culture, progression opportunities, package benefits offered and the stability of the business.

Responsibilities:

* Proven experience delivering high-quality MEP, Civil, and Fit-Out projects.

* Professional and client-facing, with a strong focus on customer care and satisfaction.

* Excellent communicator – confident leading meetings, driving outcomes, and maintaining accurate records of actions and deadlines.

* Experienced in ITT processes and liaising with design, estimating, and commercial teams.

* Strong understanding of client requirements, technical specifications, drawings, and project deliverables across all RIBA stages (design to commissioning).

* Skilled in risk identification, management, and escalation throughout project delivery.

* Ability to plan and manage project programmes, maintain milestones, and anticipate potential issues.

* Prepares and presents detailed progress and programme reports to stakeholders.

* Knowledge of validations, dilapidations, RFIs, TQs, and technical submissions.

* Demonstrates sound business judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making under pressure.

* Strong leadership, time management, and delegation skills; capable of working to strict deadlines.

* Solid understanding of project governance, procedural conformity, and contractual compliance (JCT and NEC).

* Commercially astute – manages risks, variations, delays, and EOTs in coordination with QS teams.

* Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and design consultants; assertive and adaptable when managing multiple stakeholders.

* Highly skilled in coordinating work packages, anticipating trade interactions, and resolving conflicts.

* Leads by example, promoting HSEQ best practices and ensuring compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and legislative requirements.
