They are currently looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager (Electrically biased), to support their growing Data Centre business. The right candidate will be in charge of managing a team and the electrical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, ensuring high standards of delivery and maintaining health and safety guidelines.
Role Overview
As Senior Project Manager (Electrical), you will be at the forefront of the electrical team as well as all electrical aspects of large data centre projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
- Being an expert and provide guidance and direction to ensure operational excellence.
- Coordinating and controlling the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
- Developing and agreeing electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
- Supporting the overall programming and planning of the build.
- Attending site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for Progress Reports.
- Chairing and minuting the subcontractor meetings.
- Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
- Providing operational support including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree qualified (Bsc/Msc) in an Electrical discipline
- Experience in the data centres sector is desirable
- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor
- Proven people/team management experience
- Have the ability to mentor and develop team members
- Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services
- Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
- Be self-motivated, with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
- Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Attention to Health and Safety matters
- Commercially astute
