Location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa (data center project)
Work Setup: Travel rotation. 4 weeks on / extended weekend off
- Fly home Wednesday around noon
- Return Sunday
- 100% in-person
We are working with a leading electrical contractor delivering complex, large scale data center projects across the US. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of hyperscale work, they are looking to appoint a senior project leader to oversee multiple projects and drive performance across their portfolio. This is a high impact role with full responsibility for project delivery, team leadership, and financial performance within mission critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple data center projects ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Drive profitability through effective execution, cost control, and forecasting
- Develop and manage project schedules, technical deliverables, and resource planning
- Build, mentor, and lead high performing teams across multiple sites
- Oversee contractual requirements, change orders, and client expectations
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, and key stakeholders
- Manage subcontractors and ensure alignment with project objectives
- Lead financial reporting, forecasting, and project reviews across all projects
- Communicate risks, challenges, and progress clearly to senior leadership and clients
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all sites
- Oversee design build coordination with engineering teams to ensure efficient delivery
Requirements
- 7 to 10+ years of project management experience within electrical construction
- Proven experience delivering data center or other mission critical projects
- Strong understanding of electrical systems including power distribution, critical systems, and infrastructure
- Experience managing multiple projects or large scale programs simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of scheduling, estimating, contracts, and change orders
- Track record of delivering profitable projects and managing project P&L
- Ability to build client relationships and support business development efforts
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
- Field experience working alongside construction teams
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
- Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
- Design build experience is advantageous
