Projects: Data Centres - West London, Berkshire, Middlesex
Hours: Mon–Fri | 8am–5pm | 45 hours per week
Contract Rate negotiable -outside ir35

Our client, a leading engineering and construction company, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor -CSA to join their team delivering major data centre and commercial construction projects across the region.
About the Role
In this role, you’ll take full commercial ownership of Civils, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages — driving cost certainty, programme alignment, and contractual compliance from procurement through to final account. You’ll work closely with internal project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure robust commercial management, clear reporting, and well-substantiated cost control.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full commercial lifecycle of allocated CSA packages from procurement through to final account
- Prepare and submit monthly valuations and variation assessments with full substantiation
- Assess and validate subcontractor applications, manage payments, and ensure compliance with contract terms
- Maintain robust, auditable change control and cost tracking processes
- Present cost build-ups, variation justifications, and commercial assessments confidently to stakeholders
- Align commercial positions with project programmes and progress on site
- Operate in accordance with FIDIC/JCT/NEC contracts and company commercial procedures
- Support procurement activities, including tendering, bid analysis, and contract negotiation
- Provide accurate commercial reports, forecasts, and cost value reconciliations
Qualifications
You’ll be a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor with strong technical understanding of CSA works and interfaces. You’ll have a proactive, methodical approach and the confidence to engage effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Required Skills
- Experience managing CSA packages on large construction or data centre projects
- Strong understanding of FIDIC, JCT or NEC contracts
- Excellent analytical, measurement, and valuation skills
- Strong commercial acumen with cost forecasting and reporting experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and standard commercial tools
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
