Senior Research Analyst

Job Description

Voltility is looking to hire a Senior Research Analyst to help with the company’s growth into new geographies and market verticals.

The role is an opportunity for someone with 1-2 years’ experience, or an outstanding graduate, to join the Data Centre research team, playing a key role in driving Voltility’s expansion into this market sector.

Based in the London area, with the ability to work from home twice per week, the role would offer opportunities for graduates seeking an introduction and exposure to the corporate world via regular contact with the clean energy investment community.

Candidates will be self-motivated, have an inquisitive mind and an aptitude for problem solving.

Successful analysts will have the opportunity for promotion in a fast-growing company.

Responsibilities

· Sourcing and processing intelligence & data from a combination of regulatory filings, grid interconnection queues, company accounts & planning documents.

· Helping to maintain and expand the Voltility database in real-time by tracking key project milestones & deal dates and finding new projects.

· Writing quarterly research and data reports focusing on key development and investment trends in the industry.

· Writing short articles based on the information collected for publication on the Voltility intelligence platform.

· Assist with demonstrations of Voltility Data Center to prospective new clients and existing ones.

Qualifications

· First or upper second-class honours at undergraduate level.

· 1-2 years’ experience working in data analysis, research or financial services

· Excellent teamwork, communication, attention to detail, and research and writing skills.

· Interest in the renewable energy investment and development landscape.

· Interest in analysing, interpreting and maintaining large sets of data and creating engaging reports to communicate the patterns and trends that you find.

· Experience in coding and using AI to optimise work flows is a strong plus.

· Knowledge of German, Italian or Spanish is a strong plus
