Oversee all field operations for large or multi‑phase data center programs (1–20+ MW) from groundbreaking through commissioning and IT load turnover. Mentor superintendent teams, own site strategy, and ensure execution meets or exceeds Tier, TIA‑942, and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish site logistics, sequencing plans, and safety programs in coordination with project leadership.
- Direct field teams and subcontractors for critical path MEP installation, energization, and commissioning readiness.
- Lead scheduling and coordination for long‑lead equipment deliveries, factory witness testing, rigging, and installation.
- Oversee system start‑up, functional testing, and commissioning levels 1–5; manage IST punch and retest cycles.
- Ensure compliance with Uptime Tier design intent, TIA‑942 rating goals, and ASHRAE TC 9.9 thermal/environmental standards.
- Approve MOP/SOP/EOP for all critical activities and live cutovers.
- Interface with client operations, utilities, and AHJs for inspections, energization, and occupancy approvals.
- Maintain cost awareness in the field by validating manpower, equipment, and material usage against plan.
- Coach assistant and project superintendents, developing next‑ mission‑critical leaders.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years in construction supervision, with 5+ in mission‑critical/data center projects.
- Proven leadership on $50M+ projects or multi‑MW programs.
- Expert understanding of MEP systems, commissioning sequences, redundancy topologies.
- OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, and advanced safety leadership credentials.
- Skilled in P6, MS Project, Procore, and field productivity tracking.

- Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier, ANSI/TIA‑942, ASHRAE TC 9.9.
- Live facility construction experience; phased handovers.
- Lean/continuous improvement certifications.
