POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Systems Administrator leads the implementation and strategy of the Community Care Plan Data Center as well as Microsoft 365 Administration, Server Infrastructure, Virtualization, SAN Management, MS SQL Clustering, VPN and Disaster Recovery, multi factor authentication and single sign on, and telephony integration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead, design, and implement infrastructure and network projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Manage, maintain, and optimize core systems including firewalls, switches, virtualization platforms, backup/DR, and cloud environments.
- Administer and secure enterprise systems such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, SFTP, Cloud Telephony, and Windows Server/Client environments.
- Administer enterprise servers, desktops, laptops, and end-user provisioning in both on-prem and cloud environments.
- Manage and administer Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Azure, etc.
- Perform regular system maintenance including updates, patches, and hardware/software repairs.
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity solutions, including backup and replication systems.
- Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize network systems to identify, diagnose, and resolve performance or availability issues.
- Serve as the escalation point for advanced infrastructure and network-related incidents and problems.
- Ensure datacenter systems (power and cooling) are operating efficiently and reliably.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to current systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles for infrastructure and network systems.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior system administrators and help desk staff.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare security standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies (HIPAA, data protection, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or 5 to 7 years of experience in the IT field
- 8-10 years of experience in customer-oriented environment
- 7+ years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange and File Servers
- 5-7 years of experience managing SAN, Office 365, Virtualization, Multifactor Authentication, and Single Sign On
- 5-7 years of experience managing CISCO appliances, scripting, switches, and firewalls
- CCNA & Microsoft Certified Professional Certification ()
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune
- Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (Server/Desktop)
- Knowledge of virtual environments (Hyper-V / Nutanix)
- Knowledge of Dell SAN
- Knowledge of Backup & Replication solutions for virtualized environments & MS 365
- Knowledge of Multifactor & Single Sign-on
- Knowledge of Active Directory and user provisioning
- Knowledge of Cloud Services Technologies
- Knowledge of networking equipment (firewalls, switches, etc.)
- Knowledge of VPN Technologies
- Knowledge of Telephony integrations
- Ability to liaise with customers in an empathic and technically effective manner
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to advise to non-technically aware customers (either internally or externally)
- Excellent telephone manner
- Ability to work well within a team as well as on your own
