Description

The Senior Systems Administrator will manage and support the organization’s on‑prem infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization, and backup systems. This individual will serve as a Senior escalation point for complex issues, contribute to operational stability, and lead or support infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

-Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (2012–2022).

-Manage VMware virtualization across ~800 virtual servers and ~1,000 virtual desktops.

-Oversee enterprise storage systems (Pure Storage) and backup environments supporting ~1 PB of data.

-Troubleshoot and resolve Tier III escalations, including application slowness, system outages, and storage performance issues.

-Collaborate with network, telephony, application analysts, and end users—including physicians and clinical staff.

-Participate in infrastructure projects (30–40% of workload).

-Provide on‑call support one week per month as part of a rotating schedule.

-Work onsite at the Savannah data center (Candler campus), with occasional flexibility for remote work.

-Operate with minimal direction; proactively identify issues and drive solutions independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

-5+ years of experience in systems administration, storage, and virtualization.

-Experience with enterprise‑class storage arrays and backup technologies.

-Strong VMware and Windows Server background.

-PowerShell scripting familiarity.

-Bachelor’s degree .

-At least 1–2 relevant technical certifications (VMware, Microsoft, storage‑related) within the last 5 years .

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
