Job Summary

NovoLINC is growing its engineering team in the design, development, and scaling of manufacturing processes for NovoLINC’s TIM portfolio. We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-orientated senior technician with strong engineering and manufacturing background. As a senior technician, you will work with the engineering team at the forefront of translating novel research into efficient, high quality manufacturing processes. Your expertise in equipment building, process scaling, and rapid troubleshooting will have a direct impact on the design, implementation, and operation of the equipment that creates NovoLINC’s TIM products. You will execute experimental trials, identify and optimize key process inputs, analyze data and present technical reports, all to facilitate the smooth integration of new processes, equipment, and materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the process manager and engineers to design, build, operate and refine manufacturing processes for TIM production, including component fabrication, assembly, and packaging.
  • Transitioning processes from R&D lab scale to pilot lines and eventually high-volume production, ensuring scalability and repeatability
  • Working on equipment qualification, installation, and commissioning.
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime
  • Applying statistical and data-driven methods to optimize yield, throughput, and reliability.
  • Implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle times, and costs.
  • Ensuring manufacturing safety and compliance with industry standards
  • Creating and maintaining detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instruction.

Qualifications

  • Experience with process engineering in a pilot line or fast-paced manufacturing environment, such as NPI or scale-up.
  • Hands-on experience in equipment builds, operation and troubleshooting.
  • Machine shop experience.
  • High school education with high school chemistry experience.
  • Excellent documentation, collaboration, organization, and communication skills, especially in cross-functional or multidisciplinary settings.
  • (Plus): Experience with roll-to-roll (R2R) process, electroplating, fuel cells, or batteries.
  • (Plus): Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodology to guide process development and optimization.
