Server Install Technicians

Job Description

Work Environment

Fully on site data center role

Fast paced, mission critical production environment

Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and process adherence

Team oriented setting working alongside operations and engineering teams

Data centers operate 24/7, so flexibility is important

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you’ll

support infrastructure teams with the physical installation and maintenance

of server and network equipment, including:

Rack, stack, and

install servers, switches, and related hardware

Install, test, and

troubleshoot fiber and copper cabling, patch panels, and patch cords

Perform structured

cabling and ensure installations meet data center standards

Conduct hardware

walkthroughs, inspections, and basic troubleshooting in live environments

Work around server

racks, PDUs, CPUs, cooling zones, and access controlled infrastructure

Use ticketing

systems (service tickets, Slack, email) to document work and report status

Maintain accurate

inventory and documentation

Partner with team

members to move equipment from loading docks to rack locations

Maintain a clean,

organized, and audit ready data center environment

Follow all

safety, security, and operational procedures

✅ Required Qualifications

This is a physical,

on site role. Candidates must be comfortable with:

Rack & stack, cabling, or server installation experience

Working from ladders up to 10 feet

Standing and working on their feet for full shifts

Lifting up to 40 lbs independently (group lifts for heavier items)

Night, weekend, and holiday work as required

Fully on site work (no remote or hybrid)

Ideal Backgrounds (Not Required, But a Plus)

Data Center Technicians

Low voltage or structured cabling technicians

Field service technicians

Mechanical, electrical, or automotive technicians

Military or trade based technical backgrounds

Strong technical

aptitude, problem solving skills, and a willingness to learn are key.

Shift Details

After training: 2:00PM – 12:00 AM, four days per week

Schedules typically

fall on Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday

This is a Contract position based out of Johnstown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.63 - $22.63/hr.
