Service Engineer – HVAC / Humidification\n\nLocation: UK – Leicester, Derby, Notts\nSalary: £36-68K Basic DOE + optional weekend premium\nHours: 39 hours/week (Mon–Thurs 8hrs, Fri 7hrs), 9-hour average working day\n\nWhy this job?\n\nEver fancied being part of a company that literally keeps prestigious buildings and data centres comfortable? We’re looking for a hands-on Service Engineer to join a growing UK team.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\n\n * Service, maintain, fault-find, and commission HVAC and humidification systems across your region.\n\n * Travel to customer sites (occasional overnight stays), with driving time paid.\n\n * Manage your fully equipped van, tools, and stock.\n\n * Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally on-site.\n\n * Work independently, but with mentoring and support from senior engineers and management.\n\n * Optional weekend work during peak periods (winter) – usually 1 Saturday per month.\n\nAbout 70% of the work is planned maintenance, 10% breakdowns, 10% other — predictable, organised, and professional.\n\nWho We’re Looking For\n\n * Hands-on mechanical engineering bias with some electrical knowledge.\n\n * Experience in mobile service roles, ideally HVAC, F-Gas, water treatment, or building services.\n\n * Confident in customer-facing situations, professional communication, and problem-solving.\n\n * Driving license with max 3 points – you’ll be on the road often.\n\n * Maturity, reliability, and ownership of your work.\n\nBonus Points:\n\n * Plumbing or water systems experience\n\n * F-Gas qualified or some gas experience\n\n * Previous work with air conditioning / humidification systems\n\nPerks\n\n * Fully equipped high-spec van with PPE, tools, and stock.\n\n * Private medical, life assurance, income protection, pension.\n\n * Contribution to gym membership and optional healthcare cash plan.\n\n * Ongoing training: IPAF MEWP, C&G Water Hygiene, manufacturer product training.\n\n * Mentoring from senior engineers and management.\n\n * Real career development – we grow engineers one at a time, with long-term stability.\n\nThe Difference\n\n * Team of experienced engineers (some with 10+ years’ service).\n\n * Focus on planned maintenance, no manic call-outs, mostly booked in advance.\n\n * Supportive, open, and honest culture — stability and professional development.\n\n * Work on world-class sites: prestigious commercial and high-security projects.\n\nNext Steps\n\nIf you’re a mechanically minded, customer-focused engineer ready to grow your career with a market-leading company, let’s talk.
