We are seeking a motivated and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team at a leading mechanical subcontracting company based in Phoenix, AZ. As a Foreman, you will work closely with project managers and the field operations team to lead a crew of sheet metal workers in the installation and fabrication of HVAC systems on commercial mechanical projects. This position is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in sheet metal work, has strong leadership abilities, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget.
- Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise sheet metal crews on commercial mechanical projects.
- Ensure all work meets project plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- On projects where engineered documents aren't available, use industry practices to complete the work in a functional manner and in compliance with local code requirements.
- Plan and assign daily tasks, monitor crew productivity, and ensure efficient use of labor and materials.
- Coordinate with project managers, other trades, and subcontractors to maintain smooth workflow on-site.
- Conduct regular inspections of work progress to ensure it meets project timelines and standards.
- Provide hands-on leadership, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for on-site issues.
- Assist with material handling, deliveries, and inventory to avoid project delays.
- Enforce company and OSHA safety protocols, identifying and addressing hazards as they arise.
- Track job progress and communicate updates to project management as required.
- Mentor and train crew members to improve skills and ensure adherence to company procedures.
- Qualifications

- 4+ years of experience in sheet metal work, with at least 1 year in a lead or foreman role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork fabrication, and installation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and computer experience (tablet use, Procore, Microsoft 365)
- Proficiency in safety practices and regulations (OSHA compliance ).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and resolve on-site challenges.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in sheet metal or HVAC .
This is a safety-sensitive position, and all applicants must be able to pass a background check, drug test and have a clear driving record.
