With a strong pipeline of work and an excellent industry reputation, this is an exciting opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the UK's fibre and digital infrastructure rollout.This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact within a growing organisation, helping to drive safety, quality, environmental, and compliance standards across a diverse portfolio of telecoms infrastructure projects.RoleNMS Recruit are seeking a proactive and experienced SHEQ professional to lead and develop the company's Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality function. This is a pivotal role where you'll have the autonomy to create, implement and continuously improve the SHEQ strategy, ensuring compliance, driving best practice and fostering a strong safety culture across the business.You'll be responsible for developing and owning the SHEQ management plan, conducting site audits, overseeing document control and compliance processes, and providing expert guidance to operational teams across the UK.
This is a genuine opportunity to take ownership of the function, influence business-wide standards, and play a key role in shaping its future direction.The role is primarily office-based, with regular travel to sites required.The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:Minimum 3 years' experience in a SHEQ/HSEQ role within the telecommunications industryStrong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and associated compliance requirementsExperience preparing and reviewing RAMSSite safety management experience across telecoms and infrastructure projectsKnowledge of civils, excavations and streetworks activitiesUnderstanding of rigging, working at height and RF safety requirementsExperience overseeing lifting operationsKnowledge of electrical works and associated safety standardsFamiliarity with DNO power connections and fibre/comms transmission projectsNEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent SHEQ qualificationStrong communication, auditing and stakeholder management skillsBenefitsUp to £52,000 DOE25 days holiday plus bank holidaysCompany vanFuel cardPension SchemeAdditional benefitsImportant Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
