Shift Engineer

Due to a recently completely project, we are looking for a number of Shift Engineers to work in Canary Wharf

The Shift Engineer must have previous experience of working within commercial building maintenance and in particular have experience of critical plant and equipment.

This role is working on a rotating shift pattern of days and nights, working 4 on 4 off

Essential Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a technical engineering role within a commercial building, critical environment, data centre, or high end corporate site
• Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background (multi skilled )
• Confident carrying out PPM and reactive tasks on critical systems under time pressure
• Experience working on shift in 24/7 environments

• Competent with the following systems:

• HVAC (AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems)
• Electrical distribution, lighting, and power
• Pumps, motors, BMS controls, basic fault finding
• Plumbing and general M&E plant

• Ability to manage and prioritise alarms, callouts, and critical incidents
• Comfortable coordinating with contractors and maintaining safe working procedures

Certifications Required

• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 18th Edition (for electrically biased engineers)
• City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent trade certification
