\nCBW is currently recruiting an experienced Shift Leader to join a prestigious commercial building in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong engineer to work within a modern, high-specification environment, delivering first-class building maintenance across a premium mixed-use development occupied by various commercial tenants.\n

Key Duties\n
\n

    \n
  • Lead, motivate and support the on-site shift engineering team.
  • \n

  • Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks are completed efficiently using the site's CAFM system.
  • \n

  • Carry out hands-on electrical and/or mechanical maintenance when required.
  • \n

  • Diagnose and rectify faults on plant and equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • \n

  • Monitor the quality of maintenance activities, documentation and housekeeping standards across the site.
  • \n

  • Manage spare parts and ensure critical stock levels are maintained.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports and job documentation.
  • \n

  • Prepare, review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure safe systems of work.
  • \n

  • Support the delivery of a safe, compliant and high-performing building environment.
  • \n

  • Act as the site's HV Authorised Person, carrying out switching operations and ensuring compliance with all electrical safety procedures.

Requirements\n
\n

    \n
  • Fully qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • \n

  • Current HV Authorised Person (AP) qualification (essential).
  • \n

  • Previous experience working in a critical environment such as commercial offices, banking, data centres, healthcare, or other high-profile facilities.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical building services.
  • \n

  • Experience with critical systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, transformers and power distribution.
  • \n

  • Previous experience leading an engineering shift team within a critical or large commercial environment.
  • \n

  • Excellent fault-finding, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • \n

  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional engineering standards.
