An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced Shift Technician to join the engineering team within one of London’s most prestigious landmark commercial buildings.

This is a hands-on role within a technically complex environment, working as part of an established shift team responsible for maintaining the building’s critical mechanical and electrical infrastructure.

The Role

* Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a large commercial building.

* Work across a range of electrical and mechanical building services.

* Carry out fault-finding and repairs across M&E systems.

* Work with LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators, lighting, BMS, HVAC, pumps and associated plant.

* Respond to plant faults, alarms and engineering incidents.

* Complete PPM tasks in line with site maintenance schedules.

* Support safe isolations, permits and engineering procedures.

* Carry out routine plant inspections and condition checks.

* Liaise with specialist contractors where required.

* Record maintenance activity accurately through the CAFM system.

* Complete detailed shift handovers and engineering reports.

* Support emergency response and escalation procedures.

* Work closely with the Shift Lead and Senior Shift Technician.

* Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance and engineering best practice.

About You

* Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering, or equivalent.

* Previous experience as a Shift Technician, Shift Engineer, Maintenance Engineer or similar.

* Experience within commercial FM, critical environments, data centres, banking or another technically demanding building.

* Strong hands-on maintenance and fault-finding skills.

* Good understanding of mechanical and electrical building services.

* Comfortable working a continental days and nights shift pattern.
