Overview\n\nDue to the continued expansion of our highly successful specialised engineering company, including our award-winning data centre design and build business, we are looking for a working Site Manager to join our successful Enterprise Services division.\n\nWe have over 200 staff and have achieved recent growth with ongoing expansion plans. We are an equal opportunities employer and value in our workforce.\n\nRole Purpose\n\nTo assist in the overall operational delivery of projects, including the Health and Safety, technical, commercial and managerial requirements from pre-commencement to practical completion.

Provision of high-quality customer service and interface with of relevant support functions allocated to the project. Ensuring that works are carried out to an exceptional standard and in accordance with specifications by utilising effective leadership skills.\n\nPersonal Specification\n\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\n\nTo manage the day to day running of each activity to ensure that delivery is successful within the time and cost constraints\n\nAssist Project Manager in key tasks associated to project sites including managing contractor resource, performance, reporting and site handover documentation\n\nTo provide technical knowledge to the site-based project team to ensure the correct planning of the project, making sure that the hardware, materials and resource are suitable to complete all works to the required standard, ‘right first time’\n\nTo manage the day to day running of each activity to ensure that delivery is successful within the time and cost constraints\n\nReport any out of scope works back to the project manager to ensure that additional works are captured and charged back to the customer\n\nEnsure the delivery of necessary Handover Packs and QA these to ensure quality\n\nTo work with the PM to ensure that the necessary resources are available to deliver projects\n\nSupervising contractor first to final fix installation teams, ensuring that any project-specific quality or technical standards are completely understood\n\nAssist Project Manager in key tasks associated to client sites including performance managing contractor resource, reporting and site handover documentation\n\nAssess works completed by a 3rd party to allow sign off\n\nVerifying at relevant project stages (‘sign-off’) that these standards have been achieved (or triggering remedial action required)\n\nEnsure that H&S requirements are being adhered to at all times\n\nSkills and Qualifications:\n\nSMSTS\n\nECS card\n\nFirst aid 3 day (preferable)\n\nAsbestos awareness (preferable)\n\nMinimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation works\n\nC&G 2391 testing (desirable)\n\nWork with / co-ordinate with other trades\n\nDriving Licence\n\nDetailed knowledge of the construction site and construction methods, tools and materials\n\nExcellent oral and written communication skills essential for team-based working\n\nExcellent planning and organisation skills required for our fast-paced environment\n\nMust be highly motivated, proactive and willing to take on new challenges\n\nPlanning & Organising:\n\nAbility to organise own workload\n\nAbility to prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines\n\nWorking with People:\n\nAble to establish a rapport with service users as necessary e.g. clients, members of the public, other contractors etc.\n\nUnderstands how to encourage and influence people to get the best from them\n\nUnderstands the needs of others and able to respond accordingly\n\nCommunication:\n\nAble to communicate factual information politely and courteously\n\nHas everyday spoken skills, e.g.

telephone, online and face-to-face conversations\n\nHas advanced written and numeric skills appropriate to the job\n\nAble to listen, observe and report information to line manager
