Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company's Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The Site Manager is responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and oversight of an Astro Pak field location. This role ensures facilities, equipment, and materials are safe, compliant, and ready to support field project teams. The Site Manager leads a Facility & Equipment Technician and plays a key role in logistics, equipment readiness, and operational efficiency.
The Site Manager is based on site at our Indianapolis, IN location and reports directly to our Operations Manager.
What You'll Do:
Facility & Equipment Management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant facility in accordance with Astro Pak and regulatory standards
- Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance for facilities, vehicles, and field equipment
- Identify equipment issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain professional equipment staging and storage areas
Inventory, Procurement & Logistics
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment, consumables, chemicals, PPE, and supplies
- Submit purchase requests and manage vendor relationships for timely, cost-effective procurement
- Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with specifications
- Prepare, stage, ship, and track equipment and chemical loads for field crews nationwide
- Coordinate freight, shipping, returns, inspections, and restocking of equipment
Leadership & Safety
- Supervise, coach, and develop the Facility & Equipment Technician
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with Astro Pak's Safety Program
- Partner with the Operations Manager on workload planning and site support needs
Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, inventory, and procurement records
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate proactively with Operations, Project Managers, EHS, and Logistics teams regarding equipment availability or issues
What You Bring:
Education & Experience
- Associate degree or technical training
- 2–4 years of experience in facility operations, equipment maintenance, or logistics
- Experience with chemical handling, mechanical systems, or industrial equipment
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of pumps, hoses, fluid systems, calibration, and basic chemistry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management tools
- Strong organization, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to follow and enforce safety procedures
Physical & Work Requirements
- Regular lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. with assistance
- Ability to work in warehouse, outdoor, and chemical-handling environments; PPE required
- Occasional overtime, weekend work, and travel as needed
