Job Title: Site Manager - Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)\n Location: London\n Rate: £250-£300 per day\n Contract: 3 months (with strong potential to go permanent)\n Client: Leading M&E Engineering Consultancy / Critical Environment Specialists\n\nOverview\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a proven track record in the design, delivery, and on-site management of Mechanical & Electrical installations. The successful candidate will oversee projects across Critical Environments, Commercial Developments, and Cat A & Cat B fit-out installations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.\n\nThis is an excellent opportunity to join a respected consultancy with an expanding London project portfolio. After an initial 3-month contract, there is significant scope for the role to become permanent.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOversee day-to-day site operations for M&E installation works.\nManage subcontractors and ensure adherence to project specifications, quality benchmarks, and programme deadlines.\nEnsure full compliance with health & safety regulations, carrying out toolbox talks, site audits, and risk assessments.\nCoordinate with design teams, project managers, consultants, and client stakeholders.\nReview and implement technical drawings and M&E plans.\nMonitor progress, prepare site reports, and maintain effective communication with senior leadership.\nLead on resolving site-based issues, ensuring minimal disruption to programme.\nSupport commissioning, testing, and handover activities.\nAct as the main site contact for quality control and installation standards.Skills & Experience\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager within M&E construction environments.\nStrong background in delivering projects within Critical Environments (e.g., data centres, healthcare, mission-critical facilities).\nDemonstrable expertise in Commercial and Cat A/B fit-out electrical installations.\nSolid understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical building services.\nAbility to read and interpret detailed technical drawings.\nStrong leadership, communication, and organisation skills.\nSMSTS, CSCS (Black/Gold), First Aid ().\nExcellent problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to project challenges.What's on Offer\n\n£250-£300 per day (depending on experience).\n3-month contract with the opportunity for permanent employment.\nChance to join an established consultancy with a strong project pipeline.\nExposure to high-profile and technically challenging London-based projects
