Site Safety Manager

We are seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to lead and oversee the safety program for a large-scale data center construction project in Mesa, AZ. This role will be embedded with the mechanical contractor and will be responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading safety personnel onsite.

This is a high-visibility leadership position requiring prior experience in complex, high-hazard industrial construction environments such as data centers, semiconductor plants, battery manufacturing facilities, or similarly scaled industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all site-specific safety operations for the mechanical contractor
• Develop, implement, and enforce project-specific safety plans and procedures
• Ensure full compliance with OSHA, state, and site-specific safety standards
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Oversee safety and ongoing training for site personnel
• Manage and mentor site safety staff
• Collaborate with project management, superintendents, and client safety teams
• Monitor high-risk work activities (confined space, energized systems, crane operations, elevated work, etc.)
• Maintain required documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Lead safety meetings and participate in owner/GC safety coordination meetings

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Site Safety Manager on large industrial construction projects
• Direct data center construction experience strongly
• • OR experience on large-scale industrial projects
• BCSP certification required (CSP, CHST, STS-C, or similar)
• Occupational Safety and Health Degree
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing safety teams
• Ability to influence field leadership and drive accountability
• Strong communication and documentation skills
